Emyr got in touch after receiving his Thin tele style guitar with custom wound Tele bridge and P90 neck.
His guitar was a commission gifted by his family to mark a special birthday.

Well – what can I say! . . . It’s superlatively beautiful!
You have obviously missed your vocation - or at least are now finding a late vocation. Dentists are easy to find; genius guitar creators (not ‘builders’) are a rare species and you are definitely one of them.
I’m in love! I can’t stop playing it. It goes so well with my Fender Stage 100 amplifier. A touch of echo and a little bit of reverb; roll the treble down just a notch and the P90 sounds rich and sweet like a red velvet cake with black cherries on top – and such a powerful pickup. Click the switch to the bridge pickup and you’re immediately brighter, lighter – in real Telecaster territory. Click to the two pickup position and you get a lovely synthesis of the qualities of both.
It looks and feels beautiful. The wood that we chose together (via email) is perfect – such beautiful grain patterns and it gives such long sustain . . . The volume and treble knobs are pieces of art in themselves.
The neck profile is slightly different to my other guitars – narrower and shallower – lovely for good fast playing. The string gauges are just right – lending themselves to a nice bit of bending. The frets are perfect.
Overdriven – it sounds ‘fierce good’ as my Irish friend would say. Some say that the P90 is not best suited to heavy metal – I disagree. On this guitar it has power to blow the Smoke on the Water!!!

"My husband arranged for Anthony to make me a guitar for Christmas out of an old mahogany slab that was in our shed! I was presented with the most beautiful instrument on Christmas Day, with the wood’s natural grain and character showing. I couldn’t believe what it had been made from. It played beautifully too. I’ve shown it off to my friends who were also wowed!"

"I met Anthony online,a bit over a year ago now. And he offered to make a faceplate jig to attach bobbins to,when winding guitar pickups.
Over time we've exchanged a vast amount of very helpful information, that he's been tremendously patient with.
And he made the faceplate jig.
I've wound over 300 pickups on that very same jig and it works brilliantly.
It's 3d printed,but shows virtually no sign of wear. And has never let me down.
The same applies to the single coil assembly jigs. Which make that somewhat tiresome task very easy.
Overall I've had Anthony make/build/design many bits of speciality parts.
And he's always gone that extra mile to make sure things actually work properly"
